Hi all,
Boy, it's been a while since i posted anything...anyway, i recently went to a wonderful clinic for coaches and skaters.  It was put on by a company called the Ice Revolution.  I was very impressed with it, and there was a segment of edges on ice which the instructors (one was an Olympic medalist in ice dancing) showed the kids these beautiful edges which focused on power, extension, and grace.  They were called "Sabres Rattling".... anyway, there's a brief video clip on the front of the icerev.com website, but not much there for future reference.  I am looking for patterns that have been printed out (similar to MIF), and/or video footage of similar patterns.  Here are a few for example:  swing rolls, extended free foot in front, beautiful arms, then cross strokes, with extension, then cross strokes with  3 turns, extend behind, then do the same but with a double 3 turn,.....another ex:....power pull, back double 3, extend, .....another ex:  power pulls into back loops, etc, etc..  Any assistance anyone can give for me to have these patterns in print???  They pretty much said any rink can make up their own, but I want them for me....to practice....  thanks...

I think the USFSA must have a handout of this somewhere...

The exercises you described are pretty common in ice dance. If you took some lessons from a dance coach & told them you wanted to learn some exercises you'd probably get tons more like that too.
