I thought I'd post a review... I'm not affiliated with the company in any way.
So a few years back I noticed that Main Street Dancewear was going to start a skatewear line. And I immediatly fell in love with their Triple Keyhole Back Dress and got it as a present, and used it for 2 different test sessions.
Now, I'm skating again and needed two new dresses. I immediatly went for these dresses because they are well made, and affordable. I decided to pay a few extra dollars and go through FigureSkateWear.com (You have to call or email to order- her prices are like $2 per dress higher than through Mainstreet, but she has free shipping at $100 so I didn't pay shipping. These dresses are also available through various retailers, but availability differs) because I wanted some help on sizing. Judy was wonderfully helpful. She talked me out of the dress I wanted, suggesting that it would only look good on the most toned of stomachs (which I do not have) and suggested dresses that have longer skirt backs. Then she helped me with sizing- I was thinking of ordering a large, but she told me it would swim on me. Then, she told me that the dresses aren't currently in stock, and take 8 weeks to order. I only had 6 weeks. She guaranteed they'd get here. And they did- with 2 weeks to spare. So what seemed like a very long wait was actually much shorter than what I expected to have to wait.
One dress fits me perfectly, the other is a bit tight in the arms. Both are fully lined, and use plush fabrics, and have double layer skirts. The workmanship is excellent and I was pleased to find out that she has them made in the USA.
I just could not be happier, and can't believe that I got two competition dresses for $145 total, simpler practice dresses are even less expensive. I did buy rhinestones for them, but honestly the fabrics are such that they really don't need them. Count me as impressed.
