There is figure skating about 18 hours a day...
declining membership

So the problem was that I paid for a single session, rather than a subscription... Yet - enticing people to come to single initial sessions are the obvious way to generate new membership. Should they change their pricing policy?

OTOH, I love rinks whose sessions aren't very busy enough to be economically sound. I also love rinks where you get a lot of semi-continuous hours to figure skate. And it wouldn't bother me that most of it isn't hockey. Sounds like a great place to figure skate!

18 hours a day - it's like a second home.  :) If you work at night, maybe you need no first home. They should rent beds. ::>)  Sleep, eat, work, skate. Sleep, eat, work, skate. Sleep, eat, work, skate...
