If you look at the Klingbeils in my picture (second picture), you can see that I had the fitter cut the Loops off and retrofit Lace hooks into them (the Loops never seem to work well enough for me, and I'm always worried about them snapping).  Took him like 2 minutes per pair, and he did it at no charge.  It's basically the same as the ones that came on the SP Teri's.  They work well.

Tongue Bite is a bigger problems in these SP-Teris now.  The Foam Tongue just rubs the crap out of my Right Ankle.  It gave me a pretty nasty Blister, but Putting a large bandage over the area completely prevents it.  I'm getting some gel Sleeves to deal with it, at least for the immediate future.

Get rid of one problem, add another one :-(

That's exactly the reason why I don't skate barefoot in my SP Teris. Blister galore. XD

I skate with light trouser socks or my skating tights/skating socks.   Without them, I get blisters.  I could never skate with athletic socks.

Plenty of skaters skate without socks.   Whatever makes her happy.

I have only skated barefoot once, when I forgot my socks. It didn't really feel comfortable though.

:-[ I have a major issue with tags and seams even now at my age. Hate them. I would wear my clothes on the wrong side just to be comfortable. I go out of my way to find seamless everything including socks.

Haha, I am similar!  You won't find a single tag on anything I own, though I don't have too much of a problem with seams...

What's the difference between loops and lace hooks?  Do you have a picture of each?  My Klingbeils have each had two hooks on the tongue that look identical to the hooks on the upper sides of the boot (which seem very strong, I doubt I could bend them with a pair of pliers, though I do wonder if they might pull out at some point); I didn't know there was another option aside from not having anything.  Perhaps my skate fitter put them in herself, as I do recall her asking me when I got measured if I wanted hooks on the tongue or not.  I didn't know they had any impact on lace bite - she just said that they helped keep the tongue centered.  My previous Graf boots didn't have them and I am doubtful they actually do much to keep the tongue centered on my current skates but I don't mind having them and always use them when I lace up.
