So I got new skates mid October. They're the Sp Teri Super Teri boots with Reidell Eclipse Pinnacle Blade. I took about a month break in November. Ever since, I've been skating three days a week for 2 hours each day i skate. Shouldn't they be done hurting? I'm back to my normal jumps and spins comfortably and they still hurt. Is this normal? Now keep in mind that I have really weird feet. They're very narrow in the heel but very wide in the forefoot. My last pair of skates (Reidell LS 2100) had sorta the same problem but a lot worse) I'm just really worried. I may be over thinking this and need to get them punched out. But it hurts on the side of my forefoot (left and right), the bottom of my foot below the arch, and the heel. Oh and I seem to have to re-tie them once or twice to adjust my foot or lett it breath. ANd after i retie my skates, my feet feel fine for about 10 minutes then they start to hurt again. So Is this normal or should i get them punched out, or get inserts...?
Chin up, beautiful ☺

Sounds to me from your description of your pain that the boots are two narrow (maybe not in the heel) - I would ask your tech what can be done about that. SPTeri's tend to run narrow although they're great boots. I would get them stretched either by a your pro shop or a shoe repair (some cobblers can be very helpful with boots).

This advice, of course, is probably worth exactly what you're paying for it!

I had arch pain from my SP Teri's because the arch is too low for my foot.  They changed the last back in about 2002 and the new last is too flat-footed for me.  I had no problems with the arch before they changed the last.  I am in Jackson now with no arch pain.  Maybe you could put a Jackson insert in as there is more arch support instead of being just a thin piece of leather.

Punching our stretching the ball of the foot could help with that pain.

A bit of topic sorry, but im interested in the eclipse line and would like to know how are you liking your pinnacle blade? Im sorry about your boot issue, hopefully you find the solution fast.

The Super Teri's are heat moldeable!!
I just bought the KT2s and have been skating with them for a week now, at first they were hardly wearable. My ankle was killing me more so than anyother Sp-Teri I have had.  I actually bought Sp-teri's because I had never had any type of pain with them in the past. However, these were giving me more trouble than I thought was normal. So, alejeather and a few other angles around here recommended having them Heat Molded.
This was the best decision I have made in a long while!!! I am still having break in troubles with my KT2s, but I have only had them a week.

I really recommend you take advantage of that feature, it does sound like your boot maybe a bit too narrow or the footbed too flat. If heat molding does not work, I would recommend punching/stretching them out.

I had pain in a similar spot (if my reading is correct) and the only thing that helped was taking a heat gun to the area while standing up in them.  As this is totally my own DYI YMMV but it worked for me.

Did you get SP Teri stock boots in mixed width or did you get customs?  If your feet are much wider in the front and narrower in the heel, you probably need a split width of more than one width, which would require custom sizing.  If you didn't do that, they are probably too narrow in the front.  I used to get arch cramps when I was wearing SP Teri KT2's that were half a size too narrow in the front.  I have been fine since switching to custom sized boots.
