Hey everyone,

I'm planning on stoning a pair of skating tights (black ones - mondor - you wear on their own, not the ones you wear with a dress) as well as a dress.  I've been doing some research on the whole thing and I've bought myself a sh*t ton of swarovski crystals and a hot fix gun, but I'm sure there are some of you with some great knowledge gained through trying that you could share.  So, is there anything I should avoid?  Any good tips you've figured out?  Any size of crystal that worked best?

I'm not really a crafty person so I'm sure this will be an... interesting... undertaking :P  Actually, I'm not quite sure why I thought this was a good idea in the first place!  ??? I really could use any help I can get.

Soon, soon you will be a svarwovskis zombie.

Right after I finish stoning this dress.

Why yes, I did just see World War Z.

lol, yes, I will be a swarovski zombie.  But more so, I'm just cheap :P

It was funny though... me and a friend went to watch worlds and we could tell when a flight was about to start because we could see ALL THE SPARKLE!!!! heading through the tunnel to the ice.

My goal isn't that level of sparkle.  :o Just something to jazz up a plain pair of pants and a plain dress.

That would make a great scene in a movie.

The greatest tip I got was to use a crayon to pick up stones. It made the process really fast and easy. I was advised that 20ss and 30ss are the best sizes to use. I used 20ss because I prefer the look of a smaller stone, at least up close. The hardest thing for me by far was deciding where to put the stones. I got a lot of helpful tips on this from members of this forum here: http://skatingforums.com/index.php?topic=4446.msg48313
