Anyone here skating in the Peach Classic? I'm not, but there's a good chance I'll be in the stands cheering and I'd love to cheer for you!
No, but have a good time!
I think that competition helped make our rink blissfully empty today.
I'll be participating in it next year! :)
I did not realize it's an adult only competition! Wondering how the turnout was this year!!
Reading thru the announcement, a bit surprised they require proof of age... Cough cough would the skater rather pretend to be old or young? Is this requirement common with kids competitions? ;D

That's what I said last year! And then two days later I broke my ankle. But I'm saying it again this year and hoping to stay in one piece so that I don't have to make myself a liar twice ;D

Yes, it is absolutely a requirement for kids competitions. Especially at Juvenile and Intermediate where there are age limits.
It also makes sense when the adult age groups are split as someone could try to skate with an older group as sometimes they would perceive it as "easier". That's certainly not always the case, but the rules protect everyone.

Makes a lot of sense, thank you very much!
It's a rarity that I have seen it asked for as an adult, however.
Several at my rink have made it a goal to go next year. I'm hoping we make it and that we actually skate!
