I like xanboni! I have a kid skating, it solves hidden mysteries and puts things into a more clear perspective. Plus I am usually laughing seeing myself as one of her parents.
I like xan-boni a lot.
I used to really enjoy Ice Mom, but slightly less so after she changed over her site, the redesign made the "feel" really different. Now she hasn't posted in a very long time. I wonder whether her daughter stopped skating.
Among adult skaters, I am of course partial to my journal :)
I really liked skatejournal.com but she seems to have stopped skating (has YEARS of archive though)
I also like stephaniesspin.wordpress.com
I noticed when icemom changed sites it felt less warm and fuzzy.
Oh forgot http://rinkside-blog.blogspot.com/ It is fun to read but I get confused because I feel like I read the topics here and then see her blog and they tend to have similar topics going on, it's probably just because it's the same subject! ;D
I like your blog - I never ever add up comp fees. it's MUCH easier to think of it over the course of time, not on just the one day. :sweat
The rinkside author is one of our main contributors, so she probably comments on or introduces the topics on both sites.
That is super cool! My daughter loves her video's on youtube.
Adding...I've read a lot of blogs turned into books and wouldn't be surprised to see her solicited for a book based on it.
I like Ice Pact (http://icepact.blogspot.com/). I follow her on twitter too.

QuoteCoach Needs-More-Vodka hadn't passed her either.
ROFLOL! Too funny.
I am convicted of quoting Xanboni (http://xan-boni.blogspot.com/) to no end, ha.
Why me, St. Lidwina (http://whymelidwina.blogspot.com/) may be a very fun read for new skating parents.
Same feeling about ice mom (http://www.icemom.net/): it's very different after the design change. And the website does not open at the moment either...
Not a blog, but the archive (http://skating.zachariahs.com/skatingforums-onice/www.skatingforums.com/archive/index.php/f-1.html?pda=1) of our forum is always a wonderful read.

Right? I'm dying to ask her which one that is. :D

Her youtube vids are so helpful! Did not realize there is a blog too.
Thank you hopskipjump for starting this thread!

Xanboni! and Why me, St. Lidwina started a weekly #skatemoms chat on Twitter, which sounds like a lot of fun :)
http://xan-boni.blogspot.com/2011/07/skatemoms-chat.html
searchhash.com can show the latest chat in its entirety, but participating is always better than lurking!
I also like the new blog naked ice (http://thenakedice.blogspot.com/) on elite skating.

Kay changed careers, so I think she did stop coaching and skating. She was a great resource for technical information and her archives are awesome.

I just found that blog by accident - it's good!
I just found this blog
http://icemusings.blogspot.com/
It goes over every skater in every competition and comments on their scores. If you don't get a chance to watch a particular skater you can get a run down of how they did in their competition. I don't know how accurate it is, but it's certainly more informative than the ex-olympians who chatter on and don't know the new judging system as well as they should.

I just started it last week. I'm channelling all the creative energy I'm not using at work.
"I'm a fragile and delicate flower I need a little slack."
I need this on a plaque at work. Totally made me laugh out loud!

Haha Little Prince vibe!
This is a nice blog for newbies and their parents - not too technical, very practical and focused on staying within your budget.

Don't forget Gordon Sk8ter Boi's blog! It is a "classic" of skating blogs.
http://sk8rboi.blogspot.com/
Also, ahem, I have a blog. I'm ashamed to admit I haven't updated it since March, right about the time I found out I was moving.
http://adulterskate.blogspot.com/
This one is my favorite...can't beat "one shot of figure skating, two shots of snark"!
http://rinksidecafe.wordpress.com/
It's still new, but this blog is pretty promising:
http://momscanskate.blogspot.com/
Not updated in a while, but very interesting, especially the posts on dress design and stoning.

I was looking for wacky skating photos and found that this blog has them all cataloged, with a very funny narrative:

Oh oh Jennifer Kirk is back! http://www.jenniferkirk.com/
This is a twitter feed with a lot of industry-news snippets about rink openings and closings, as well as some figure skating news.

Kat is coaching and blogging again.
Skatingdomo is a good site for skating information: http://skatingdomo.wordpress.com/history/history-of-skating-elements/
This is more of a fan blog on Facebook, but the page title ("Is That A Skate Guard In Your Pocket Or Are You Happy To See Me?") just caught my fancy, lol. I literally LOL'ed.
https://www.facebook.com/SkateGuard
Just saw this coach's website and I really like her guide to core elements. Looks like the Moves section isn't complete yet, but it has a nice reference guide to spins, jumps and connecting elements, some with videos.

This is a very well-written and humorous blog about an adult skater taking standard-track group lessons:
http://millionideas.org/2012/10/03/my-first-day-as-adult-figure-skater/
I just happened across www.tracings.net - they attend and track competitors and competitions. Great for skating fans!

This is a newish blog, about politics in skating. (IMO). The stated intent is to focus on adult skating, but I guess it is not in season yet.

Maybe the blogger means to write from the perspective of an adult skater, but not necessarily focusing on adult skating.
I went to check www.skatejournal.com. It had years of archives, but it's dead and has been replaced by referer site.

That's so sad. I'll bet Jim would have been willing to host an archive. It was truly her opus, filled with tons of tips and information.
Did archive.org manage to crawl it before it went down?
Eta: Found it!

Maybe. I was surprised because in all the self-promo posts he (?) said it was going to be from an adult skaters perspective, yet I don't see that coming through in the posts. It was more disgruntled fan, IMO. In fairness, my eyes glazed over partway through the first post. I always need a laugh track, lol.

Lots of information presented in blog format.
This is an interesting take on figure skating, from an adult skater/lawyer:
