Feeling amused at this milestone
« on: August 29, 2014, 11:42:41 PM »
I was skating today while my girls were having lessons, and there were a few ice tourists there. I was the only adult out there that knew how to skate (other than the kids' coach). One woman with two boys stopped me and asked me what the best way would be to help the boy who was struggling to figure out how to glide. I said try marching first, then the penguin feet thing, and also suggested he go back for a pair of rentals that wasn't too big. He was a pre-teen boy and I don't think he actually did any of that, but it was fun to be perceived as having any clue at all. :-D
