foot pronation help
« on: August 29, 2010, 11:43:05 PM »
On pronation
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080423081351AAJxHfE
 mentions this book:
Figure Skating for Dummies [Illustrated] [Paperback]
Kristi Yamaguchi (Author), Scott Hamilton (Foreword)

Couldn't find a copy. Does anybody know what it says about foot pronation?

Thanks!

Don't have the book but for my pronation I have superfleet yellow insoles and pro shop inserted some rubber between blade and boot.

where between the blade and boot did the pro shop shim?
For your left skate or right?

Thanks!

Shim was inserted on the inside front end for both skates, maybe with different thickness because I remember one took more adjustments than the other. However pro shop emphasized it depended on specific boots. My current pair did not require shim insertion and fare just fine with just the insoles.
