Commercials During Olympics
« on: February 15, 2018, 10:13:21 AM »
I love the commercials NBC shows - for the most part, they're unique and have tie-ins to the Winter Olympics theme.

One of my favorites was the Will & Grace commercial, despite the fact that I've outgrown that show.  (I watched it three times and took it off the DVR list. It didn't need a reboot, imo.)

Here's the commercial:

I love Karen's martini toast, lol  Makes me laugh every time.

I'm on the Northern Ice & Dance emaili list.  Today, I received an email saying "Want the dress they wore on Will & Grace?" with a link to the video and another link to their website.  They sell that exact dress (Jerry's Mist on Amethyst #218) in several sizes!

Great marketing by Northern Ice & Dance - I typically read the email and then delete it without going to their website unless I'm looking for something specific.

My favorite commercial so far is the Toyota commercial with Ashley Wagner.  Ironic, poignant, heart-rending ... and, at the same time, aethereally beautiful.

Maybe the fact that I learned to skate outdoors on frozen lakes has a lot to do with it.
