Never Wet - Could you use it on skates?
« on: July 22, 2013, 03:41:29 PM »
Apparently this product, Never Wet, is a coating you can spray on surfaces to repels water and oils. I saw this article and video today and was wondering, could you use it on skates? Maybe not on the blade, but on the sole? I haven't looked to see if it's safe to use on leather. Has anyone else heard of or used this product? Anyone more chemically minded think it could or couldn't be used on skates?

Here's the link: http://junkee.com/someone-invented-magic-and-it-is-freaking-us-out/14880  It's available at Home Depot.

I don't see why you couldn't, but most of the reviews I've seen on this stuff state that it doesn't last very long on whatever you treat.
