Practice thread title fun
« on: June 27, 2012, 11:09:53 PM »
OK I was just thinking it would be cool to throw ideas here for our practice thread titles!! word games, references to recent forum discussions or events, anything goes! (right? :sweat)

Earlier today "nice ice" came to me, what could be a good counterpart? I can't think of anything :P

Real or synthetic?

Solid ice or cracked and melting?

Swimming butterfly or barely treading water?

This is hard. I've got to give mad props to our moderators who come up with these every week!

Nice ice or hockey ice? Meaning there are always holes and ruts in the ice after hockey practices.

Nice Ice or Astroturf

LOL!! I was trying to think word games, like vice, mice, splice. What about "gross mess"? Think hockey spitting!

Kudos to all the brilliant thread titles!!

If you're thinking of something that rhymes, how about "Nice Ice of a Bunch of Lies?" I know it's not a perfect rhyme but still.

I was thinking about describing bad ice like the surface of the moon and I thought of "lunar landings". Don't know what to pair it with. I also don't know if that would be good or bad, since a lunar landing is quite an accomplishment!

A post by slusher mentioned "twirl twirl bow" and I liked it... Counterpart suggestions? All I could think of is "whirl whirl fall" lol

As in scratchy, toe picky crossovers?  ;D  Now we need something for this as well...
What about "stretch, stretch, hold!" or  "stretch, stretch, tada!" as in Michelle Kwan style spiral sequences?

I don't know if it would work to mix our sports, but watching the PGA tour with my dad, I thought of "hole in one vs. a good walk spoiled"

I was trying to think of swimming ones...
"Beautiful butterfly or drowning on flip turns?"
"Swan dives or belly flops?"
