why no pairs coverage?

Is pairs skating out of favor?  I loved watching pairs when I was a kid

Depends on what country you live in...

The US doesn't have any top pairs teams right now, so it's not very likely that US networks will show pairs skating (heck, they barely show any skating at all.)  During nationals, they did show the pairs long programs. 

What I'm annoyed at is no ice dance coverage.  I know traditionally ice dance is not very popular- but it has changed SO much, and we DO have top US dance teams- so that makes for a more interesting broadcast, but still there is very little coverage of international events.  (They also showed the free dance at nationals.)
