Interesting problem for jumpers. It seems they need the high levels of repetitions to learn and then perfect a competitive jump but the amount of repetitions may need to be reduced to prevent injuries.

That is why jumps are done in the harness first.

It would be great if the various figure skating associations would fund more research.  But perhaps the money is not there.  Maybe we need to get the NHL involved somehow ;).
