Title: question
Post by: figureskatehockeylove on March 04, 2015, 03:12:57 PM
Hello, My names Nicole I just joined this site and I had a few questions I'm looking at getting new skates I am currently in the Jackson Artistes im at a few different levels im doing some basic 7,8 and freestyle 1 and 2  and wanted to get some skates that will last me for a few years so I was looking at the Jackson Freestyles,Classiques and the Elle mirage But i don't really want the pvc sole again so i was wondering if it would be ok for me to maybe get the freestyles because it says that the stiffness rating is the same as the classique what do you all think?? And is the Elle mirage skate a good one to like would i be able to do advanced jumps in them? Oh and which blade is better the aspire or mirage? Thanks:)

Welcome.  You should visit a good boot fitter since everyone's feet are different.  Ask your local coaches who the use for fitting.  The appropriate boot stiffness depends on your weight in addition to your skating ability.

Welcome! Agree with nick that going to a fitter is very worthwhile.

In terms of boot/blade, the aspire is a higher level blade than the mirage and I think you can get the Elle without a blade as well. The Elle was one of the options my fitter recommended when I went in at about fs1 level

Yea:D  ;D I cant wait to start doing jumps in them.!!!!:D  My coach said ill have to wait for a bit tho cuz they only have four screws in them and I need to skate on them at least four times before I can get the other screws in and have the blade remounted.
