This is an interesting IceNetwork article about a former competitive skater who became an Aerialist in college and has since developed several programs combining the two sports/arts.

Very clever; when I think of historical skating shows, there were always specialty acts that weren't the usual jump and spin routines.

Very cool - one of our local skaters here in Portland learned aerial and started performing in local shows - but always wanted to bring it to the ice - she toured in Europe for Holiday on Ice a couple of years ago with her skating/aerial work - now she is living elsewhere, not skating but doing more performance in the aerial world.
It was cool to watch her practice at our local rink - with the rigging and all.
