Yes, he was skating, fairly fast, with a skate walker made of pvc piping!  I'll try and find it on YouTube.

Very cool!  We have someone at our rink in his mid-80's who's self-taught and apparently started skating in maybe his late 60's, from what I was told.  He basically does tai chi on ice.  He's fabulous to watch- very serene and graceful amid the chaos of the public sessions.  But he also likes to move to the music, too!  Spins and pivots and the occasional moonwalk.

Aww, nice!  Let's hope we can all still skate and feel the glide!
