Cheap Figure skating apparel
« on: October 02, 2017, 02:50:17 AM »
Hey,
I’m looking for cheap figure skating apparel (pants) preferably. I don’t want any straight leg pants. Is it possible to find one that can pull over the boot like the Chloe Noel one. Ps. I live in Australia so yeah...

Thanks for anyone who answers

Depending on how tall you are, you can get leggings for long-legged people and then pull the excess over the boot.

The ones that pull over the boots are specific to figure skating and only made by companies who specialize in skating apparel so they're hard to find cheap unless you find a good sale.  If you'd be fine with just tights that pull over to the ankle, I'd suggest trying some dance brands.  You can usually find them relatively inexpensively online.  I'd give you links but mine are all US and Canada and I'm sure they'd kill you on shipping so my suggestion would be to look online.  If you have a dance wear store in your area you can go check it out.

I've also gotten a lot of my tights on sale at places like Marshalls or Winners... I'm sure Australia has something similar.  You have to be patient and scour the racks but you can find some good brand name stuff on sale.

If you really want the look of having something pulled over your boot, maybe add a pair of leg warmers?

I'm on the short side, but I received Point Zero pants/leggings as a gift a few years ago that go down over my boots. The bottoms are tapered, but not as tight as leggings, and they are very stretchy (75% cotton, 20% nylon, 5% spandex). I don't have a model number or anything else that I can use to identify them, but they are so stretchy that I can pull the bottom over my skates, until only the first two or three pairs of holes from the laces can be seen, and the rest of my foot is covered, with the bottom tucked under my heel. While being stretchy, the leggings retain their shape overall and if I could just figure out where they were purchased, I would buy several more pairs. Since they're not a huge brand name, I'm positive they're cheaper than specialised skating attire, although as I mentionned, I have short-ish legs for my height so that's a definite bonus for covering my feet.
