Jeremy and Lucy Barrett Skating Benefit
« on: July 13, 2017, 01:56:27 PM »
I'm sure some of you know about this:  US Olympic skater Jeremy Barrett and his bride, Lucy have been married about a year.  When she was around 6 months along in her pregnancy, they discovered that she had Lukemia.  Their little boy was born premature, but healthy.  They've both stopped coaching in order to manage the treatments and care.  Like most skating coaches, if you don't work, you don't get paid, so the figure skating community has rallied to raise funds to help the young family.

Grassroots to Champion founder Audrey Weisiger and Ryan Bradley organized a Benefit skating show on 7/11/2017, which you can view here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loowWO9sXTU&feature=youtu.be&t=2488

The opening act, is priceless: Ryan Bradley doing Axels and Doubles as a "lefty."  He says very clearly that he can do ALL the double jumps in both directions.  Whaddaguy!  (One my favs.)
