Title: Comfortable skating tights
Post by: sk8lady on July 29, 2017, 12:47:23 PM
Are there any over the boot skating tights that are made for actual women who might have a little bit of stomach attached to their body? Jerry's used to make some that had a soft, wide waistband but apparently gave it up. I'm 5'1 and weigh about 114 and my Mondor Evolution tights just squaaaash my stomach so that I can't wait to get them off! Has anyone tried Nita tights? I love their knee highs but can't find any size charts for the tights.

As far as I can tell, Adult XL tights in any brand are made for 11 year old twigs, so I gave up looking, and now cut the waist elastic off my tights and replace it with a 3inch wide cotton lycra band sewn in.  Takes 10min and works a treat.

I call that 'dance sizing'. I bought a leotard XL adult, and I swear it was too small for a 10 year old

I really like the Nita tights. Before I had the excess skin on my stomach removed it really did help keep it all contained. Now I could wear other brands but the Nita ones are just so nice.

Thanks all! I never thought of replacing the waistband, so I'll try that and a pair of Nita tights too!
