Not sure if this topic has been brought up before...but have any of you tried those new balance bracelet things you see at kiosks in the malls? Have any of you tried these? Do you think they would be helpful in figure skating?
Just though I'd ask, they seem really interesting, or at least worth a try lol

Google search found lots of scam accusations.

My dad swears by his...though not for skating. But he says they have improved his golf game and his overall balance in life. He didn't wear it on a trip to Rome and tripped and had a tumble. He says it was due to not wearing the bracelet. My Mom says it was due to cobblestone roads and him not paying attention :)
I think it is a placebo effect. It works because he wants it to work. They have no scientific basis.

I agree there is no scientific basis. I had one to try out (no I didn't spend money on it, would never!), I honestly don't see a difference.

I have one. They don't work, I'm just as klutzy as before. I only wear mine because I like how it looks.

Balance bull(blocked). But, if the placebo effect works for someone I know, then I wouldn't say anything.
