I am terrified to do off ice jumps. I will do jump drills and land on two feet, but I won't try actual skating jumps because I instinctively try to stick a landing on one leg- and there goes my knee. I twisted it on axel preps some time ago, and I haven't the courage to try again.
I know you are supposed to land hopping so as to avoid a knee injury, but I can't seem to do it right, without damaging an already fragile landing knee. Honestly the off ice jumps hurt more than the do on ice, even when I fall. Does anyone else have this issue?
