I need a little help.
back in the late 80s, early 90s there was this one skater who had this amazing leg extension in the spiral (I am assuming a backward one, since he stuck the leg out in skating direction'
For the life of me I can't remember who it was.
I have narrowed it down to Petr Barna and Victor Petrenko, but could be way off.
The programs I did have time to watch didn't feature it.

Paul Wylie had a nice spiral:

Here's his 1992 Olympic performance that starts with several slow spirals, and then has a spiral into a triple flip (at about 1 minute in):

That's a lovely picture of Paul Wylie.

he is a delightful skater (looked like Micheal J. Fox...) but he wasn't it.
I mean this guy stuck his leg up out front, nearly in a split....
back to youtube, I am sure I missed somebody...

wouldn't be shawn sawyer would it?

What about Toller Cranston? His extension was phenomenal. I don't know if he skated in the 90s but he skated professionally in the 80s and medaled at an Olympics in the late 70s.
Spiral at 2:05 of this video, though I've seen photos of even better ones

Sawyer is to young, Cranston too old :(
Literally, the skater was at the top of his game in the time frame from '88 to '92.
But thanks for the suggestions. more awesome skaters to watch! :)
