Busch Gardens is planning a new show called “Iceploration” that will feature figure skating, oversized puppetry, aerial maneuvers and live animals when it debuts in the Tampa theme park in February. The 30-minute show will have a storyline that travels the world, including virtual stops in African Serengeti, the Great Barrier Reef, the Arctic and the Amazon Rainforest. It will have a cast of 20 performers. This show reintroduces the ice show to our most loyal fans while bringing together the things Busch Gardens stage productions do best: world-class entertainment with top-notch skaters, amazing costumes, original music, larger-than-life puppets and even animal stars,” says Jim Dean, president of Busch Gardens in an announcement Thursday. “Iceploration” will be seen in the park’s Moroccan Palace, where construction has begun. That venue also will host the “Christmas on Ice” show from Nov. 21 to Jan. 1. All are included in regular theme-park admission.
