Title: Las Vegas rinks?
Post by: irenar5 on March 08, 2016, 11:15:42 PM
Any recommendations on Las Vegas rinks?

I will be able to go during the day, so would appreciate any insight on either not too crowded freestyle sessions or publics (do they allow freestyle skating on those?)

I also noticed coffee club at the LV Ice Center.  Is this an adult freestyle session?

Thanks!!

Could the moderators put these questions in the "Rinkside" forum?

There are two rinks in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Ice Center on the west side of town. Two sheets. Their early morning session is on the 'honor system'. There's a lock box in the lobby on your left. People will eyeball you until you deposit $10

On the north side of town is the Sobe Ice Arena in a hotel. I never skated there.

There's also a seasonal rink. Who knows if it will come back

Agnes,

How crowded are the freestyles?  Is coffee club a good session to attend?

I only skated the early morning freestyles, I don't know about coffee club. The freestyles were not that crowded. People were polite. The skating director was very nice.
