Rink Roof Collapses

A rink in Slovakia had its roof collapse, while hockey players were on the ice.
Pretty scary!

I went to a rink today that had its roof collapse a couple of years ago and was rebuilt. I looked up in the ceiling and notice a set of bright red sirens. I wonder if that was a roof collapse alarm? Apparently, roof collapses aren't as uncommon as I thought.

That's interesting.  Maybe the insurance company required it?

Our rink has big siren-like speakers, but they're for the hockey goal soundsystem.

I think we have a tornado warning system, but I believe it is for the soccer players, not the skaters.

This is in the olympic rink, I don't think they play hockey in there, just hockey practice.

I'll ask.
