Just attended a meeting/party and after-meeting skate of the Gardens Figure Skating Club (Laurel, MD).
The people were friendly!
Even the adults. Even on the ice.
They actually talk to each other, and not just to scream for right of way, and sometimes skate together.
A friendly club, in a type-A metro area. What a marvelous idea!
