Muscle strain recovery
« on: May 10, 2019, 08:30:48 AM »
Tuesday last week I skated on tired leg muscles and over did it. The next morning my right calf was in agony, with cramps, and soreness. Over a week later it feels better, but I still limp, and it's obviously not healed yet. Does anyone with similar experience have advice on the recovery times, and how I might know when it is okay to skate again, and anythings not to do? I'm a hockey skater, so no jumping, but I am quite energetic and cut into the ice a lot when I try. Yes I know this isn't a medical forum, but advice would be welcome. I've been off ice for over a week now, I won't go back for at least two weeks, and I really don't want to risk making the injury worse. Thanks.
