Looking for D3O Coccyx pad
« on: April 13, 2016, 11:45:41 PM »
I somehow lost my D3O coccyx pad out of my Se_Ku Pro Tech pants and want to replace it.  Anyone have any leads?  I can't seem to contact the D30 company and their site is odd, can't find where to purchase.

TIA

Also, if anyone has any contact info for the company, please share.  I have tried to reach out to them on Facebook, online contact form on their website, e-mail to their Press e-mail (the only one I could find) and Facebook message with no luck.

If anyone has one of these they want to sell....?  They came in the Se_Ku ProTech skate pants.  I did find a pair of the pants online and may consider getting to get that pad back and have an extra pair of the pants I love, but they are $200.... might bite the bullet if I can't find the pad.

Take a look at REI's snow boarding shorts.  Some have D3O, such as these: https://www.rei.com/product/875617/demon-flex-force-x-d30-protective-shorts-womens

I know this because I bought a couple pairs a few years ago.  At that time they were roughly $50.00 per pair and have D3O pads for both the tail bone and the hip trochanters.  Maybe not as good as the now out of business SeKu shorts but much more agreeably priced. You can always harvest the pads from the REI shorts and stuff them into your SeKu ones.

Thanks Lutefisk, the D3O make a couple of different coccyx pads.  I think these are the larger ones but it's so hard to tell.  I wish these things were in more stores so one could look at them.  I'll check some local pro shops.

I ended up buying a replacement back pad from a motorcycle store, then cutting it to shape.  I'll admit to not having fully tested it properly yet (it's not really something I care to do, tbh), but I did fall on it from a wall chair position.  My tailbone (which is still tender in certain situations) didn't notice the impact.....  Best part is, I have left overs.  My summer project is to craft a head band.  One of my summer projects....

Oh which pad did you buy?

I have an REI nearby and can easily get to motorcycle shops too.

This one, in the men's size:

I called ahead to RevZilla to chat with the guys about it.  They were very nice and helpful.

Unfortunateky, Se_Ku went out of business, so I wouldn't be surprised if you don't hear back. :(

Have you checked ebay?

Thanks davincisop.  It is D3O that are not responsive.  I just want to know what retailer sells this product the make.  They were hard to reach and unhelpful once I did.  I found a retailer that sells the ProTech pants and since I love them so much I am just going to order them.  They have my size!  I would love to get extra pads though....  I'll going to put velcro or something on that coccyx pad pocket so they can't fall out this time!
