Buying Long Laces
« on: February 15, 2015, 10:24:24 AM »
This is probably a really dumb question, but does anyone know where to buy white laces longer than 120" online?  I have really big feet (and Jackson skates, which have a ton of hooks) and my laces just aren't long enough.  I've spent all morning scouring the internet and I can't find white laces longer than 120" ANYWHERE.  Can anyone help?

I've been looking for white laces with a bit of glitter in them and so have been "lace shopping" too.

How about this?  Looks like they make custom sizes.  I'm not 100% clear if they do it with the figure skate laces but you can ask.

They do make figure skate laces (http://www.shoelacesexpress.com/figureskate.asp) though not long.  Maybe they can customize for you.

You could always buy shorter laces and tie them together at the toes - if you just knotted them and tucked in the ends it wouldn't look weird :)

Thanks to both of you for the suggestions.  I'll definitely look into that website - if that doesn't work, I'll probably have to do as you suggest, sarahspins.

I've used these guys before and I love the laces from them. I've ordered 120" ones. (double check measurements because they initially list in cm)

Thank you!  I actually found that the Northern Ice and Dance website has some that are 130".  I think that should do it!  I placed my order today. :)

Excellent!  Please update if they work for you - I know you're not alone in the "laces are too short" situation.  Luckily for me, 120" has always worked out perfectly for my skates - not too short, and not overly long once they've stretched out a bit either.

I feel your pain saje - I also use 130 inch white laces, and they are so hard to find when I need a new pair!  Thanks for the tip about Northern Ice and Dance - I swear they are really good about stocking the hard-to-find stuff.

Since my new skates are going to use a shorter lace, I tried that custom option. Ordered 122" pink gradient laces. :D

I wish I'd known that existed years ago! So awesome.
