I'm not competitive. But I've taken a few ballroom and social dance classes - e.g., Contra, Scottish Country, Swing, Salsa. I tried a little Modern Dance too. But Ballet - some of us guys aren't designed to move that way.

But what we did in those intro classes has almost nothing in common with "Dancing with the Stars".

As different as the simple step sequences of of an ice skating "Dutch Waltz" are from a fancily choreographed ice skating "Free Dance" or Pairs routine.

Flirtation is the whole point of ballroom and social dance. Your DD or DS might discover something more fun than skating.
