The Skatium?
« on: November 28, 2014, 08:09:53 PM »
A week or so ago someone posted about moving to the Philly area.  Today I was on a mission to pick up some boat parts I'd bought over the web and on the way, passed a rink on Darby Road in Havertown, PA called "the Skatium": http://www.haverfordtownship.org/department/?fDD=17-0

I know nothing about this rink but it is fairly close to the 69th Street train station (in Philly) so perhaps useful info.  The website gives the impression that the Skatium does harbor a few figure skaters.  Maybe others can comment on the suitability of this rink.

The Skatium often hosts practice ice for the Challenge Cup competition, hosted by PSCHS in Ardmore.  I've only skated there once but the ice was nice. The skating director was also friendly.
