I splurged and bought Row B seats for the Skating Spectacular.

Maybe my kids will be able to SEE over the people in front of them this time instead of sitting together in one seat on my coat.

I'll see what other events the family wants to attend before I buy more tickets.

RALEIGH, NC – Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Tim Gleason will take the ice with figure skating pairs team and fellow U.S. Olympians, Mark Ladwig and Amanda Evora, on Wednesday, Sept. 15 at 12:30 p.m. at the RBC Center. The event is part of the 2011 U.S. Figure Skating Championships’ media tour, and is open to all media.

Ladwig and Evora have been skating together since the 2002 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, placing in the top 10 at the U.S. Championships seven consecutive years. The team reached its highest ranking in 2009-10, capturing a silver medal at the U.S. Championships to earn a spot representing the U.S. at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. Ladwig and Evora finished tenth overall, and first among American skaters. As of August 2010, the pair was ranked 14th in the world by the International Skating Union.

This year’s U.S. Figure Skating Championships will take place Jan. 22-30 at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex in Greensboro N.C. Wednesday’s promotional event is open to all media, and guests should enter through the VIP entrance of the RBC Center.
