This is old news, but I don't think it was shared on www.skatingforums.com - a theme park in Japan bought 5,000 (appx) dead fish and froze them in an ice rink to give the patrons the experience of "Skating on the Sea." Needless to say, there was outrage and accusations of animal cruelty. It would have been better to use plastic fish, but then there would be no story. The entire park closed 1/1/2018.
