There is a weekly Adult Edge Class at Mt. Pleasant Ice Arena in Baltimore, MD.

Quote
The Next Ice Age presents an Adult Edge Class designed for skaters in level Adult 5 and above. Class will be held on Sundays 1:45-2:45 starting February 6th and concluding April 24th at the Mt Pleasant Ice Arena in Baltimore City.

The class will be taught by company co-founder, Nathan Birch, who promises an hour of Adult Skating fun, education, and socialization.

“Our vision is to create a safe space for Adult Skaters from all over the State of Maryland to come and enjoy each other’s company and share in an educational on ice experience." We welcome all people to create the most vibrant community possible.

Each class is $25.00 payable upon arrival with a check or cash.

Join us!

Looks like you have to register online to reserve a spot and then you pay by cash/check upon arrival for the class.  That probably keeps the number of skaters to a safe count.

Me, too.  Here are some videos from a prior class, about 9 years ago.  Looks like fun and not super-difficult.

During the PSA Conference, they used to have an on-ice session with some elite skater/coach running through edge and turn exercises.  It was always packed, like cattle being herded to market.  There are many young, eager skaters who are high level skaters.  They fly along the ice and expect everyone to get out of their way, which is hard to do when your back is to them.  It was dangerous.  One year, I didn't even bring my skates to the Summit, I just watched from the stands.
