Do you know if you have to be a USFSA or ISI skater to do the lake placid skating camps? No, you don't, but they test USFSA, so if you want to test you'll need a member number.
I've been dying to go to this since I first heard about it :) And I must give Agnesnitt a huge thank you!! I've been reading her blog posts about her experiences at the Lake Placid Adult Skating Program, I was up late last night getting so amped up about going!! I actually may have talked my friend who skates into going together :) now that would be an amazing opportunity!!I was actually thinking about going to this one, since I have friends in Co Springs who say I can stay there if I go. They've been trying to get me to go visit for a couple years, anyways, and this seems like a nice excuse.

Just putting in a plug for Lake Placid--I've been a number of times and have had lots of great experiences. The June group is usually more relaxed; there are many more attendees and higher level skaters at the August camp. Many excellent coachs there--had several terrific group lesson and a private lesson with Pail Wylie last year, and many lessons with Lorna Aldridge, past Canadian national ice dance champion.
