I'm also interested to know about this. I have quite the stretching routine down but would love to hear what other people do on a regular basis!

I had a trainer with knowledge of skating put together a simple set of workouts for me... lunges, squats, dips, arm work, bridges, etc.  It was worth it.  Also, my physio gave me some good pylometrics (sp??) with jumping on one leg down from one height and up to another, one leg extensions, etc.

I do one day of a group strength class, two days of spin class, and 1 day with my trainer every week.  I also try to get some run/walking in there, usually 3 miles, but I hate running so I'm not real consistent with that.  (Waiting for our puppy to be ready for runs - maybe she'll motivate me!)  I'm not currently doing any flexibility work, though - must figure out a way to add that somehow!

Modified Jazzercise (i.e., exercises have been modified to suit skating), followed by stretching, is my off-ice routine. I get strength but don't build much bulk, which is great.

I've been walking backwards uphill for about a tenth of a mile to build up my legs.
I don't know if it's doing any good (I'm not the only person doing it on the hill).
It does raise comments at work when someone asks me why I'm doing it. What can I say, it was in the NYT.
Yes I'm in with the 90's. I have a skating blog. http://icedoesntcare.blogspot.com/

Kari Anderson's "Center Floor" or Jennifer Galardi's "Ballet Body" (DVDs) are great, too!
