DC-area dance coach suggestions?
« on: March 03, 2013, 06:44:55 PM »
Hi everyone,

I'm not sure whether I'm posting this in the right subsection (or whether this is allowed at all - if not, I apologize profusely, I didn't see anything mentioned in the rules), but I'm hoping to get some suggestions regarding coaches who specialize in dance (adult - solo) in the Washington, DC area. Location-wise, I'm happiest with Cabin John, Ashburn, and Reston, but Wheaton and Kettler will also work. I'm a 26-year-old former freestyle skater who quit 12 years ago after a couple nasty tumbles, and I'm looking to get back into skating with a purpose - in this case, solo dance (including testing).

I'm thick-skinned and happy to go with Angry Russian Coaches (tm) ;D Might even be preferable, to be honest.

Thanks!

I'm skating in Ashburn.
I know that Pavel Dimitrov (he is Bulgarian) is a very good coach.
Also they have a couple of Russian dance coaches - one of them is Ruslan (he is new in the area) and Andrey (I could be wrong about his name).
Personally, I would prefer Pavel.
