Title: Skating With The Stars in Central Park
Post by: Isk8NYC on February 19, 2011, 09:04:43 AM
Central Park's Trump Wollman Rink is hosting a skating party to benefit Figure Skating in Harlem

Those being honored are Sarah Hughes, Tina Lundgren and Terry Lundgren.

They've invited a lot of elite skaters, but the attendee list hasn't been announced yet.

Wow, that sounds like a lot of fun. I probably wouldn't go by myself but can imagine some friends who would get a kick out of this. Any idea of how much it costs to go?

Wow - if the 2010 event info I saw is correct, tickets started at $300 @ apiece for the gala dinner and the skating!  It is for a good cause.

Yikes, that's a sizable fraction of the cost of a pair of custom skates. I guess they're going for a few high-end patrons versus a crowd of ordinary folks.
