Adult Happy Hour
« on: June 10, 2011, 10:09:11 PM »
I love this idea - Extreme Ice in Charlotte, NC is holding an Adult "Happy Hour" on the ice!

Monday nights beginning June 13 - August 8 @ 7:00pm

Adult Learn to Skate instruction & fun!

Center Ice Tavern drink specials after skating!

Since Paul Wylie's on staff there, you might get to see him in person!

The more I think about it, the more sense it makes!  It's a working person's alternative to the daytime "Coffee Club" sessions.

I'm sure for some adults having the drinks before skating might be more beneficial for it's relaxing properties.

My rink has had adult LTS classes, with practice and a drinks discount for a long time. It made the classes very sociable. It's just a shame that when you outgrow the classes, you lose some of the social side of things. I think quite a few adults stall their progress because of the social aspect of class.

There are two men in my LTS group that have told me this.
