Locating Ice Rinks
« on: September 02, 2010, 09:27:25 AM »
It's fun to visit new rinks when you travel.  I add an extra hour onto each of my NY-bound trips just to stop in somewhere and see what the rink is like.

www.arenamaps.com lets you search for any rink in the US. It provides a map, directions and the rink's homepage link.

www.rinkfinder.com is a similar service.

Just be aware that neither of these sites delete closed rinks. Always check to make sure the rink is still open.
Yes I'm in with the 90's. I have a skating blog. http://icedoesntcare.blogspot.com/

If you send them an email about a closed (or newly opened) rink, arenamaps.com will update their website accordingly.

Awww, arenamaps.com has been shut down.  That's sad - it was my go-to site for finding ice rinks.  sigh.
