Today was the first time I heard about this ice rink. Seasonal, outdoor, downtown near the WFC. Very hush-hush, with Olympic skaters available for lessons.

The talented instructors and coaches provide services from introductory classes and lessons, to even the customized individual athletic programs for figure skaters and hockey players, THE RINK AT BROOKFIELD PLACE WITH GREGORY & PETUKHOV is a one-stop shop in New York City.

I'm gonna check that out next time I'm in Manhattan! The ice looks much nicer than Rockefeller/most of NYC's seasonal rinks :-X

It isn’t full size

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melissa_Gregory appears to imply that those two coaches opened the rink themselves! (They also coach in Connecticut.)
Based on http://www.gpice.com private lessons aren't cheap - and they have the highest rates I've seen quoted for group LTS lessons.
But, if I understand correctly, Manhattan isn't known for economical pricing.

:WS: I work near there and am waiting to see when they open. I haven't found the rink yet, but there's still time. Will report back once I get there. :)
