#6 12/26/2011 - The 6th highest rated video at iCoachSkating.com in 2011 is from Olympic coach Michelle Leigh.
The video shows how Michelle introduces and teaches a flip jump. She covers every detail, including the not-well-known "timing point." She also explains how she keeps young skaters from doing "lips" which are flips with a change of edge.

#5 12/27/2011 - Today on the countdown we have our other Olympic coach presenter, Audrey Weisiger. The 5th ranked video of 2011 is Audrey Developing the Toe Loop.
Audrey's video on toe loop is excellent as it covers pretty much all the important points. As we've come to expect from Audrey, she has a very clear and structured way of thinking about skating and she articulates her thoughts very well.
Add to that some great demonstrations by Shannon Brakke and some slow motion video for easier analysis and you've got a winner. Many people commented on how valuable the add-on video showing the jumps in slow motion was. I'll try to do more of that in 2012.

#1 12/31/2011 Chris Conte's Pet Peeves and Missing Pieces!
In these videos Chris is offering "radical" improvements to the process of teaching basic skating. And that's something that pretty much everyone can relate to. Skaters at nearly every level suffer from power generation, edge control, and relaxation problems.
Chris has thought about these things in detail and he offers valuable solutions in his series.
