Creative Writing Assignment
« on: October 23, 2012, 11:07:46 PM »
I opened a question on Yahoo! Answers tonight to read this:

Quote
Is my cat making good progress?

My pet cat, Fluffy, is a really good ice skater. He always comes with my family to public sessions and everybody loves him. He wears four tiny little custom made skates and a Chloe Noel jacket we got for him last month, he loves it!
Anyway, he's been skating for a year now and is in freestyle 2 working on half jumps, one foot spins etc. This seems a little slow... Is he making good progress or should he practice more (currently Fluffy skates 3 hours a week)? Also, how long did it take your cat to get to this level?
 Thanks!

Too funny!  Someone cheekily replied:

That is fairly average progress. My cat, Meow-Meow, had his triple axel after a year of skating. He also wears Chloe Noel clothing - omg, what a coincidence! But Meow-Meow skates about 20 hours a week - he's aiming to be the first cat to compete in the Olympics!! You can expect to see him in Sochi!

Now I want to see videos of cats skating.  (That gives jjane a hobby, lol.)

Yes, but her focus is "cats."  Your internet finds are more "skating."

Here we go.

Pumpkin successfully lands her single flip, but isn't too keen on trying pairs:

I think this one will end up playing hockey:

And this one may not belong in the *cat*egory. Has anyone checked its *pet*igree?

My focus is using cats to represent people to preserve their identity as it relates to skating
