Unusual practice music?
« on: July 21, 2013, 12:35:08 PM »
I normally skate with an iPod shuffle (earbud in one ear only, so I can still pay attention to what's around me) and have quite the eclectic selection for skating.

Two of my more unusual picks are Queen's "Fat Bottomed Girls" and Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie."

Anyone else skating to music that isn't exactly something you'd normally hear on the rink speakers?

An instrumental version of Kanye West's "Black Skinhead" His "Jesus Walks" too. Both are the right rhythm for lap skating

I used to skate a session where only Barbra Streisand, Linda Eder and Celine Dion were played.  I once put on an R&B oldies mix I had in my bag.  The intro and three words of a song was heard before another adult skater took it off and we were entertained by the sounds of Barbra Streisand, Linda Eder and Celine Dion.  Oh well :nvm:
Courage doesn't always roar.  Sometimes it's the quiet voice at the end of the day that says, "I will try again tomorrow."

I was rearraging my skating music for lap skating. Someone really needs to do a program to Bohemian Rhapsody. A guy preferably. I'd forgotten how good it was.

Someone played that on the freestyle I was on this morning! But not as a program, just as practice music.
"Any day now" turned out to be November 14, 2014.
