tidewaterice.com Going Out of Business

I hate to see any figure skating pro shop go out of business, sigh.

http://www.tidewaterice.com/mds%20faq.htm

They usually have competitive prices on blades, tights and equipment.

I would call to make sure the item's in stock and that your order goes through if you do it online.

I ordered from them a few days ago, got an invoice that (thankfully) I printed, but I never got any sort of confirmation email. I emailed them and haven't heard back.

Anyone else having this issue?

It's a shame to see more and more skate businesses go out of business.

I notice they are selling their sharpening machines too, if anyone wants to buy such.

Pro shops are a service industry, and personal contacts are very important. AFAICT, their website provides no address, and no phone. Just email. Perhaps that has contributed. Anyone know where they are?

Did you end up hearing from them?  I ordered from them and got a Priority Mail tracking number (sent out today).

I did. Unfortunately they sent the wrong lace length (I double checked my receipt). So I have to email them back about that...

On the plus side, the pants came, but I'm going to sell them because I thought they'd be polar fleece INSIDE, but they're polar fleece on the outside and a weird material on the inside. It's a mondor pant and I expected it to be similar to the polar fleece lined ones in my pro shop. It's not. :(

Which pant style did you order? I was looking at a pair from them and wasn't sure if i should order them in case they weren't what I was expecting!

Mondor Black Lightweight Polartec Heel Cover Leggings - 2403

The photo doesn't make them look like they were fleece on the outside, and no description I have found has said so either :( The over the boot part is elastic, too.

Ok, thanks for the info! Do you think Mondor pants run true to size?
