Post by: icerinque on October 24, 2011, 07:11:09 PM
Anyone have best/worst experiences for spring/summer camps/clinics?

Well I haven't done a skating camp since I was 13 but the worst one was when I was stuck with the 4 years olds because I'd just started that year.

There was a clinic at my current rink earlier this year where I got put with the tiny children again at age 23. I wasn't happy bc I'm more advanced than them and I was on par with the older girls but I had new skates working against me so I couldn't skate to my full potential.

If DSC does their adult freestyle clinic again, I will definitely go.
It was an exhausting two days (I went a few years back- Jonathan Cassar taught Jumps/Artistry, and Alissa and Amber Czisny taught Spins/Footwork) but absolutely incredible to get to be with so many adult skaters.  Plus, I learned some good tips.

I am looking to connect with adult skaters who have attended adult clinics/camps across the country. Please contact me at: lexisk8@yahoo.com
