The PSA will be conducting a “Beginner Class Instruction Focus Group Study” at the Galleria Ice Skating Center, Dallas.
This study will be held during the Professional Skater’s Association’s (PSA) annual Conference and Trade Show May 23rd through May 29th, 2011 at the Galleria Dallas and will consist of a three day beginner course. This class is FREE to participants, valued at $50.
Participants must be beginner skaters who have never taken ice skating lessons and be between the ages of 6 to 9 years old. The participants and their parent(s) must be available for all class times plus a follow up Focus Group Study. Times:
Tuesday May 24, 2011 - 5:45pm to 6:15pm - Class
Thursday May 26, 2011 - 5:45pm to 6:15pm - Class
Friday May 27, 2011 - 5:00pm to 5:30pm - Class
Saturday May 28, 2011 - 9:00am to 10:00am - Discussion Group*
*Discussion Group will be held at the Westin Hotel at the Galleria Dallas
The selected students will be placed in one of two classes. Each class will have two instructors, one main coach wearing a microphone headset and an assistant coach. The parents and PSA attendees will have ear bugs that are tuned into the microphones and can choose which class to listen to the instruction. Skate rental is included on lesson days.
The Saturday discussion group will be led by a PSA Monitor with prepared questions for the students, parents and observers.
Students for the Focus Group Study will be selected from attached applications which must be submitted to the Skate Shop at the Galleria, Dallas.
Applications will be due in the Skate Shop or on-line by Saturday April 30, 2011.
