Vintage skating record
« on: August 19, 2011, 11:13:53 PM »
Just when you thought I was dead (I'm not, only my skating is)...

Look what I found at Goodwill for $0.83 today - a mint-condition copy of a vinyl record "Music for Skaters", by The Organ Masters, copyright 1969!!

I scanned the image on the front to share with you guys:

How COOL is that!!!  Is it a 45 or a whole album?  Great to hear from you, Casey.

How COOL is that!!!  Is it a 45 or a whole album?  Great to hear from you, Casey.

It's a whole album, here's the track list:

Side 1:
* Skater's Waltz - Grande valse
* Moments to Remember - 14 Step (Slow)
* Love Me Tonight - Tango (this is playing as I type this)
* Barcolle - Valse lente
* Everybody Skate - Marche

Side 2:
* Quentin's Theme - Valse lente
* The Alley Cat Song - 14 Step (Fast)
* Blue Danube - Grande valse
* Happy Heart - Fox-Trot
* Waltz of the Flowers - Grande valse

Listening to this makes me want to get into ice dance, which was never an interest of mine before. ;)  It's so beautiful.

If you feel up for watching a completely unrelated video of me talking about spiritual thoughts, you can hear side one of this record playing in the background here:
